“As Fall season sets in, the birds are busy either migrating or settling in for the coming cold. I like to take morning walks, and lately they have been filled with the sights and sounds of geese taking off and flying overhead. We grow accustomed to seeing all of the beauty around us until we take the time to slow down and notice; suddenly it’s light and color and magic! In an effort to notice, to be present and grateful, I have tried to take time to learn more about the things I’m noticing. Many migratory birds, geese included, navigate by way of the stars, sun, and the earth’s magnetic pull. In a time in history where many of us are so disconnected from the earth and natural cycles of things, navigating primarily by digital maps, I find that so fascinating. And so, to take note, to honor the way of things— the cycle of leaving and returning, of navigating the wild of life, I created this print.”

This 8×10 print is part of a limited run of a hand carved linocut design printed on thick 140 lb acid-free paper. Each print was made by hand, start to finish, and also packaged and shipped by the artist.
